Tarpaulins Flame Proof Tarpaulins
There is no mystery to flameproof tarpaulins. They are ordinary PVC (or canvas) tarpaulins made up the same way as any other tarpaulin. The only difference is that the material is treated with a flameproof chemical in accordance with local fire regulations set down by Councils and Fire Brigades.
Flameproof tarpaulins are not for your own personal protection, for this purpose you require a fire blanket (which we do not supply) and which is totally different to a flameproof tarpaulin. A blanket is made to protect you or your property. A flameproof tarpaulin will cover your goods from the elements but if the goods are not flameproof then nothing will protect them from fire. Even covered up, they will be set ablaze by sheer heat and combustion regardless of a tarpaulin if the goods themselves are not flameproof.
The tarpaulin is to protect goods from rain and of course anyone trying to destroy the cover itself by trying to ignite it
A certificate accompanies all flameproof tarpaulins for insurance needs.
